Connersville High School and Connersville Middle School in conjunction with Fayette Regional Health System are holding physical night once again on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm at Fayette Regional Hospital.

Registration will be in the hospital atrium from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost will be $15 per physical, but 100% of all fees go directly to Spartan athletic training services. Fayette Regional physicians, nurse practitioners and staff strictly volunteer their time for this event.

Any student-athlete wishing to participate in middle or high school athletics next year must have a current physical.

Those interested should pick up a student athletic packet from his or her school and bring the packet to the event. Those receiving physicals are reminded to wear a T-shirt and shorts to the event.

This comprehensive physical meets the requirements for IHSAA pre-participation medical examinations. It will be valid for the 2016-17 school year. Come out, and get your physical for next school year out of the way early.

Fayette Regional invites you to a free Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine seminar at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, presented by Dr. Dennis Zawadski, Pulmonologist. The presentation will be held in the Fayette Regional Education Classroom within the main hospital campus, 1941 Virginia Ave, Connersville.

Although it is obvious how our overall health is impacted by our ability to breathe properly, many of us do not heed the warning signs that our body presents in the form of disrupted breathing or snoring at night, constant shortness of breath or “lung spots”. At best, these conditions can affect your ability to focus throughout the day. However, more serious health issues could soon develop, including diabetes, depression, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and worsening of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

If you are any one you know has these signs, we encourage you to attend this free seminar.

Dr. Zawadski will also highlight the Fayette Regional in-lab sleep study program, featuring the state-of-the-art Alice 6 LDx diagnostic sleep system. This advanced new system records your brain waves, heartbeats and breathing as you sleep. It also charts your eye movements, limb movements, oxygen in your blood and more. This data helps us make the most accurate diagnosis for a custom comprehensive treatment plan.
