Fayette Regional Health System Promotes a Homegrown Executive

Fayette Regional Health System would like to announce that Alison Gates has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Gates joined the hospital administration team in 2002 and became Associate Administrator in 2010. The biggest responsibility in her new role will be leading the day-to-day operations of the clinics and services within Fayette Regional Hospital, including Heart Care, Cancer Care and Pain Management Centers.

“Alison is a results driven executive who brings years of leadership experience to this position,” said Randy White, president and CEO of Fayette Regional Health System. “We are proud to have a lifelong resident of the Whitewater Valley fill this role.”

Gates was born and raised in Connersville, and is a 2000 graduate of Connersville High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Indiana University East, and her master’s degree in business administration – health care management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2013, both while working at Fayette Regional.

“I have been part of this community my entire life, and have seen the county as well as this hospital transform and evolve,” said Gates. “I am honored to have this opportunity.”

Gates has played a pivotal role in driving Fayette Regional’s achievements and recognitions since she began working for FRHS. Most notably, is the health system’s latest high rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare scores and Consumer Reports’ top 10 rating of the safest hospitals in the entire state of Indiana. Gates has also been involved in many facility expansion and renovation projects, and was the project manager for the Geri-Psych services expansion at the Fayette Regional Care Pavilion in 2013.
