HealthWorks Rehabilitation features the area’s premier warm water aquatics program and therapy pool. Our 15,000 gallon pool is the latest treatment modality to assist with pain as a result of musculoskeletal issues, especially arthritis. The aquatics program was designed by a national leader in warm water aquatics treatments.
The therapists at HealthWorks are trained and experienced in treating dizziness and vertigo. Utilizing computer-aided equipment and other resources, our rehabilitation team works with patients to strengthen muscles and increase motor skills needed to maintain balance during day-to-day activities. Therapists at HealthWorks have a strong knowledge base and the necessary equipment to find the treatment techniques that are best for improving your balance.
Lymphedema is the disruption of normal drainage of fluid through the lymphatic system. Lymphedema presents as abnormal swelling that is greater in one limb than in the other. While there is no cure for lymphedema, the condition can be managed through a combination of early detection, clinical treatment, education, and home management.

Many times, therapeutic services may benefit children or adolescents with special needs. These children, together with their families, are provided with individual assessments and treatment plans. Pediatric therapy is particularly beneficial to children with diagnoses of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, mental retardation, Scoliosis, Spina Bifida, and other neurological, orthopedic and/or developmental delays.
Our Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech and Language Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a dedicated clinician providing diagnostic and therapeutic services.
In conjunction with manual techniques and exercise, Shannon uses VitalStim® therapy as a safe and effective way to treat swallowing disorders also called dysphagia. VitalStim® is an electrical stimulation therapy that assists in re-training the musculature within a patient’s neck to promote improved swallowing.

Our Facility at FRHS offers an environment conducive to therapeutic wellness with a team approach and cutting edge technology. In addition, the speech service includes free hearing screenings and free phone consultations.
Our Occupational Therapist will perform evaluations of the hand and upper extremity to provide functional training in joint protection, motor coordination and range of motion. Custom splinting of the upper extremity, modalities and other manual techniques are also utilized where appropriate.
