Job Summary

The Nurse practitioner assists and directly administers care for acute patients under the direction of the collaborating Physician.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Registered as an RN in the State of Indiana
    • Graduate of an accredited Master’s program in Nursing National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Training and experience:
    • Knowledge of the procedures and techniques required for the competent performance
      of duties.
    • Advance knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Essential Functions

  • Assists and directly administers care for acute patients under the direction of the collaborating Physician.
  • Initial assessment of patients to identify abnormal conditions, diagnose health related problems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families regarding health and illness.
  • Carry own panel of patients.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Work independently with other mid-level providers.
