When one person in the family suffers with a mental or emotional illness, everyone else in the family is affected. Fayette Regional Geri-Psych Services offers a warm and supportive atmosphere to help minimize the effect.
Upon admission, we will perform a thorough evaluation to determine what is causing the behavioral changes. We provide services with primary psychiatric diagnoses such as:
- Mood Disorders
- Cognitive Disorders (Dementia/Delirium)
- Delusional Disorders
- Psychotic Disorders
- Anxiety Disorders
Our treatment team includes:
- Registered Nurses
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers
- Activity Therapists
The goal at Fayette Regional Geri-Psych Services is to return our patients to their best possible level of health.
We will work with the patient, family and medical care providers to develop an individualized treatment plan. This includes one-to-one psychiatry meetings, peer group therapy and therapeutic leisure activities. Additionally, we will offer family education, aftercare instruction and caregiver support to assist in coping with these very sensitive issues.
According to the National Institute on Aging, nearly 1 out of every 5 Americans — some 72 million people — will be 65 years of age or older by the year 2030. As these seniors begin to experience the disorders associated with aging, access to quality mental health services is critical. Fayette Regional recognized this great need for senior behavior healthcare services, and is honored to provide this new service facility.
